Sealcoating Features

Our Standards

Nealco® rarely produces two identical machines. We've made our mark by custom designing each unit. However, when an optional part on our models is repeatedly requested, we will make that part a standard component.

  • 2-inch piping is standard on all models (except the 300 Series).
  • 6-foot hand wand and 75-foot hose come with all units.
  • Anti-skid coating on every deck and stepping surface.
  • A cleanup system is installed on every unit (optional on the 300 Series).
  • Every manway is a comfortable 24-inch square with a fully opening (2312-inch) inner lid, allowing maximum passage.
  • "Easy Clean" surge tank.
  • 2-gallon material filter on all seatcoat units.

Hydraulic ESP & ESSP Piston Pump System

Our hydraulic piston pumps offer high performance which has been unsurpassed for years. Whether you need power to supply two simultaneously operating handwands, for spraying heavy sealer with sand, or a simple material transfer, Nealco® offers the one system that outperforms them all. The piston pump is driven by a self-contained electro-hydraulic pump head. The material is supplied to the pump by 2-inch (5.08 cm) plumbing. The large 14-inch (0.635 cm) plate surge tank provides a smooth and consistent flow of material and is filtered through an in-line filtering system that prevents debris from entering the pump.

Heavy Duty, Off-Set Agitation

The standard agitation system on all Nealco® sealcoating equipment is a unique 6 blade off-set system made of the highest grade materials to prevent twisting and damage to the agitator. With a 6 blade off-set configuration there are always 2 blades in the material. This ensures a more thorough mix and is evenly balanced for less vibration. The agitator shaft is made of solid, hardened steel. The agitator is driven by a hydraulic drive motor with gear reduction for superior torque capabilities. System controls are located on the main control panel and include speed control and forward/reverse operation. A 24-inch (60.96 cm) manway with interior safety lid and sand bag splitter provides access to the tank.

Simple Control System

Operating a Nealco® is simple. The control panels on our sealcoating machines give complete and accurate control over pump and pump speed, agitator speed and direction, and water cleanup system. The large indicator light provides confirmation of the pump's status from far away. The entire line of equipment is safe to use. All trailer systems come complete with D.O.T. lights and a brake-away safety system. Anyone can operate a Nealco®. Our equipment is manufactured to meet the toughest job requirements.

Spraybar

The spraybar is optional equipment on all sealcoat systems. Available in manual 5-nozzle (72 inches) or 6-nozzle (84 inches) and hydraulic 6-nozzle (84 inches). These spraybars have rapid simultaneous shut off so there is no dripping. Height and angle are easily adjusted. 1 and 2 nozzle extensions are available.

Spraybar Extensions

An extension has two additional nozzles to widen your spray path by an additional 212 – 3 feet. With two extensions (one on each end of the spraybar) it's possible to widen your spray path up to 14 feet! Simply pull down the extension(s) and open the additional spray nozzles as needed for flexible control. When you're finished, the extensions fold up and lock for safe and LEGAL transport between job sites. Available for one or both spraybar ends, the Nealco® Spraybar Extensions are compatible with most 2-inch spraybars.

Easy, Convenient Cleanup

Everything needed for easy daily machine cleanup is conveniently located on the unit itself. After every use, the sealcoat trailer and/or skid system machines should be hosed down with water to remove any splashed sealcoating material.

At the start of each workday, remove the water tank filler tube cap and fill the tank with clean water. To wash down the machine, turn on the water pump switch on the dash panel, uncoil the water hose at the back of the machine, and spray off splashed sealcoating material.

Contractor Options

  • Hose reel (spring loaded, self-retracting)
  • Longer material hose for hand wand (100 feet, 125 feet, or 150 feet)
  • 15-foot suction hose
  • Extended deck with fence/ramps
  • 5- or 6-nozzle spray bar system with operator's chair
  • Custom brush box to fit front or back of unit
  • Color can be changed to match your existing fleet

ESP & ESSP Double-Acting Piston Pumps

Get more pressure, volume, distance, and speed using a pump with 5x fewer parts!

Dual diaphragm pumps do have a place (and we offer them with our 300 Series), but when you're a professional taking on big lots, two and three at a time, you don't have time to spare. Have you ever tried to pump a sealer/sand mixture with an air-powered pump? It doesn't work. Our 50 gallons ⁄ minute ESP and 100 gallons ⁄ minute ESSP piston pumps are simple in design but vastly superior in performance. Complemented by a 212-gallon surge tank, these pumps spray a smooth stream. That consistency is key to an even-looking coat.

Pushing out a gallon for every stroke is more than anyone needs, but do you want to constantly run your pump at maximum? That's asking for downtime. Speaking of downtime these pumps contain only 11 pieces! Six of those are made of steel, so you only need to replace the leather cups every 1–3 years.

  • Hydraulically driven piston pump is designed for high sand load (up to 16 lbs. per gallon).
  • "On Demand Pump" strokes only when pressure drops from spraying. Each stroke moves a gallon of sealer.
  • Requires NO regular flushing or maintenance—no need to clean out until the end of the season!
  • Seals last through approximately 100,000 gallons, and then are easily rebuilt with 5 seal cups.
  • 75% fewer parts than an air pump means easier troubleshooting and simple, fast repairs with solid-state technology.
  • Fastest transfer rate; either 50 GPM or 100 GPM.
